Combo for acoustic guitar has a wide range of reproduced frequencies and accordingly by connecting an electric guitar through a modern processor (full guitar path) you can get a good full sound for an electric guitar. Why does no one talk about this?

roland has a good live mixable sound that sits and cuts really nice. this is what you need in the real world. the AER is nice for solo performance

Great clip, I just picked up a Power Soak recently and really digging it! Talk online is extremely mixed with some condemning the Power Soak as dangerous to your OT while many attest to using it for decades with no ill effect. I personally lean to believe those that testify to using it as many of the "horror stories" seem to be 2nd hand or tales from decades ago. I'm impressed with the sound you achieved at -32 as I find with my 20w HDRX 20 anything below -12 gets pretty colored and compressed. I find that below -12 the tone starts getting more compressed and by -32 tends to sound like a bad solid state amp, thin, too compressed and piercing frequencies to the highs with gain. I was really impressed with it's transparency up to -12dbls and being I'm using it with a 20w amp it barely gets above room temperature. I really like it and dig it even more by the fact it was designed by Tom Scholz who, for those that don't know, has an electrical engineering degree from M.I.T. There maybe better and more modern options but there's something neat about it's simple and robust design!

Run GT-3 output into any cabinet simulator pedal. Mooer pedals got one.. It will sound good and on par with the current amp sim.

I hated mine,and fellow guitarists I knew who owned them hated there's as well, full volume (last selection) was not full volume, sounded ok when I was rehearsing by myself but not with a band,, whimpy , Marshall JCM 800 pre amp option , master volumes or turning it up to 11,does it for me, I cant believe I got as much for it when i sold it on Ebay

Would like to see the eq used. I think if you play with dropping the mid on the Roland it would get very close.

Thanks for using the same lick for every patch! I will never understand how someone can do any comparisons or demos playing totally different phrasing, lines, licks, and feel... But it would've been nice to have heard all the patches. 😏 That 41 PEDAL SHIFT 🤣

I think you have tweak to compare. I’m sure you could close to the AE with the AC just by lifting some treble.

Oh, I have one that I dont use since I cant seem to get any nice drive from it ..But you have no problem at using it, your sound is great! haha, it comes down to me not playing any good. Thanks for making this, long time ago, but it was today I needed to watch it so.. Have a nice weekend my friend. !

I have the Roland AC60 and it's ok but adding a bass amp or powered speaker to the Subwoofer output on the back makes it amazing. It will blow your mind. My Shertler Jam 100 is good as is but the Roland with that Sub out is superior.

It is easy, guitar saunds better on Roland, vocals on Aer..and for other istruments i think you need to test your instrument to say which is better, but for me the Roland has more value for the money..you just get more..thats it.

pathetic that a lousy Ovation plastic guitar is used for this shootout, it's ALL pickup and no body. Makes the test moot. Plus a vocal comparison would really really be helpful!

Bass drum is lacking - turned it up max and turned the others down to compensate; then using main volume - will probably use a Sparkfun Tsunami or wav trigger board via midi to drive wav samples - could also use a backlit LCD - Happy Tunes

私の入手したものではそんな音は手に入りませんでした。ちなみにギブソンレスポールスタディオ　フェンダーストラトにクラプトンモデルのミッドブーストTBXコントローラを搭載ピックアップはテキサススペシャル　アイバニーズRGA72TQMです。どれも歪みますわ。スイッチングシステムで入れているのでフルボリュームで歪んでしまっては意味がありませんわ。たかだかBOSSですからね。最近夢のようでしたがロックマンアコースティックペダルを奇跡的に入手できました❗️これは本物でした。ロックマンは期待を裏切りません！今までロックマン製品を使ってきましたがサンズアンプより10年ほど前に間違いなく本物の音を再現できていた。トムシュルツは偉大です‼️日本のブランドでゴートというロックマンサウンドをシュミレートした製品を発売しているのですがそこでアコースティックペダルも復活させてくれると嬉しいなぁ。

Excellent demo, Tez's comment below is incredibly valid... Personally I'm just looking for that 1 great acoustic sound. My Acostasonic Jr. is a great amp but I could never get that magical tone... Always a "Good" tone but never that "wow" tone. I just ordered an AG stomp hoping it ends my lackadaisical search for that "Magic Jaw Dropping Tone" (I have heard it before but never achieved it live.) After watching this video I'm sure it lives inside that little box. As old as this product is, I think has yet to be surpassed. I always knew it was a great pedal back in 2000 but it cost a pretty penny back then.

I've just bought this amp and I am disappointed, cause it seems that we can't gage the volume between clean and overdrive because they are on the same channel. However the overdrive sound is waaaayyy louder than the clean tone. If we can gage, how can we do it? It would be very helpful, thanks !

I don't know what effects are onboard the AER but Roland's effects can create a wonderful sound. I'm not sure a comparison of flat tones reveals a winner or loser if you are trying to decide between the two.

Thanks. I have an AC 60 and an AC 33 but I’m just about to get an Aer Compact 60. The Rolands are just too muddy and the vocal channel has to be up full and full treble to cut through. Also the limiters are really annoying.

Must be the way the power supply interacts with the circuits that makes this sound whey better than its pedal versions.

It seems, roland sounds warmer and wider , and aer sounds more presence, high, clear

I had one for around forty years. Didn't use it because it dulled the sound down a bit. Ended up tossing it into the bin one day. Could probably use it now as I play more at home now that out these days. (Times change. Back in my heyday I was playing through a 300W Boogie.)

Question: if I’m going through a mixer like this, or an acoustic guitar amp, should I create my eq settings and shape my sound through the mixer and or amp first, and use the stomp pedal to further refine the sound, or would I set the amp/mixer to a dry signal and let the pedal do the work?

Fx Floor Board is such a welcomed program, shame on BOSS and Roland for their absolute crap Boss Tone Studio soft ware, which won't even connect any more, useless! and thank you Fx Floor Board for coming to the rescue! :)
